#IAmRemarkable x Uzabase Session
Delighted and moved by the active participants at Uzabase Japan and Sri Lanka who joined an online #IAmRemarkable workshop on April 23rd.
In each session (this was my 11th and brings me to almost 100 participants), I get different takeaways as a facilitator based on what the unique blend of participants brings to the session.
Today I realised the diversity in which types of accomplishments feel easy to own and communicate - some people feel edges around personal stories, others around professional ones. A reminder that there is no one size fits all when it comes to experiences of self-promotion
It was inspiring to listen to others share and certainly never felt "braggy" to hear what people brought to the room
Listening to others sharing was instrumental in recognising our own achievements - either in realising "Oh I did something similar" or in terms of one of the statements sparking another ideas.
“For a long time, speaking about my achievements—whether personal or professional—felt like bragging. But today, I learned that sharing your accomplishments, when done at the right time and place and grounded in facts, isn’t boastful. It’s empowering.

In this interactive session, you will participate in group discussions and exercises to increase your comfort and confidence in self-promotion.
During this 90 minute workshop we will:
● reflect on our own limiting beliefs on self-promotion.
● share data and research regarding self-promotion and bias.
● go through the main exercise to help you identify and share your achievements.
● wrap up with discussion and take home exercises.
