#IAmRemarkable Q2 Public Pro Bono Workhop

May 29th was a really Remarkable day for me. I hosted my Q2 Public Pro Bono workshop and then in the evening supported fellow #IAmRemarkable facilitator Madeleine Hoffmann as a back up co-facilitor for her workshop with FEW Japan (event recap should be up here soon!)

In each session, I get different takeaways as a facilitator based on what the unique blend of participants brings to the session.

1. The challenge of knowing where to start - it reminded me of a guest on my podcast Cynthia Usui who talks about career choices as like being on the Tokyo Metro. Her advice ""just get on a train - any train!"

2. The judgment voice of "Is it REALLY remarkable?" Perhaps we can invite the inner critic to take a short nap whilst we write the list? When this voice is loud, it can be a powerful sign that we are pushing through our comfort zone. As a trained ORSC (Systems) coach, tapping into these parts of ourselves and understanding the wisdom they bring as well as creating a way to realise that that role is not necessarily in alignment with our current goals, can be a very powerful and releasing process.

3. How heartwarming and inspiring it is to hear the accomplishments of others as well as to remember and acknowledge our own achievements.

And - it’s not bragging if it is based on facts so it’s great to celebrate the impact of these short workshops and I’m so happy to see how many people have connected over this content.

Want to experience #IAmRemarkable for yourself?

If you are a BCCJ member you can join my workshop on July 1st or sign up to my newsletter to be the first to know about quarterly public events. I’ll be taking a little break from #IAmRemarkable - Having met my personal target for offering this workshop probono in 2025 by supporting 4 organisations (Uzabase, Uber, LEMI, FEW Japan (as co-facilitator) and BCCJ in July, I won’t be offering corporate pro-bono sessions until 2026 but will hold 2 more public sessions in Q3 and Q4 dates TBC.
