“Great session, very warm and welcoming!”: #IAmRemarkable Event Report
"I really loved the session! Jennifer’s facilitation was outstanding. Her explanations were concise yet very clear, and she elevated all participants onto an inclusive platform. I believe this content is valuable worldwide, but it is especially needed in Japan, where a culture of criticizing others remains strong. I hope it spreads further, and I’m also interested in becoming a facilitator myself."
Wonderful participant feedback from Jan 29th #IAmRemarkable session.
This time as a shiny new "Silver Tier" facilitator, I was able to market the event in a global LinkedIn Group which meant we had participants from both Japan (early evening) and Europe (early morning). And it was rare for an open workshop to only have women attending. Please note that EVERYONE is welcome - even if you do not struggle with self-promotion, someone in your workforce does so you can really stretch your inclusion muscles to support them.

Each session is unique due to the participants, this time I learned or was reminded of the following:
The power of letting go of judgement of our accomplishments and not second guessing if it is enough.
The joy and happiness that hearing what other people have achieved can bring. It's a gift that we can give to others when we share our stories.
Writing down our accomplishments allows us to be more confident and prepared
With a regionally diverse group of people from Asia and Europe in the room, I was reminded of the universal nature of the mental challenges of self promotion - and the power that comes from hearing the inspiring stories of others to recognise "Oh, yeah! I did that too!”
