This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://jennifershinkai.com (the “Site”).
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, PayPal email address, and in some cases, phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”
Additionally we use Mailchimp as a mailing list and have the sign up within the Site.
When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information, Mailing List Information and Order Information.
We have a contact us page, your data is kept through this when you contact us via the form. It is kept within the site.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
Communicate with you;
Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
In order to make certain services available to you, we may need to share your personal data with some of our service partners. These include administration support personnel, IT, Psychometric Assessment Providers, Points of You® Providers, accountants and other service providers who are trusted partners of Jennifer Shinkai (“service providers”).
Jennifer Shinkai only allows its service providers to handle your personal data when we have confirmed that they apply appropriate data protection and security controls. We also impose contractual obligations on service providers relating to data protection and security, which mean they can only use your data to provide services to Jennifer Shinkai and to you, and for no other purposes.
Other third parties
Aside from our service providers, Jennifer Shinkai will not disclose your personal data to any third party, except as set out below. We will never sell or rent our customer data to other organisations for marketing purposes.
We may share your data with:
– our carefully selected partners who provide Jennifer Shinkai branded services, if we have your consent to do so;

COMMENTS
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
YOUR RIGHTS
As Jennifer Shinkai is located outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), in order to deliver services to you, it will be necessary for Jennifer Shinkai to share your data outside of the EEA. This will typically occur when service providers are located outside the EEA or if you are based outside the EEA, for example in Japan. These transfers are subject to special rules under data protection laws.
If this happens, we will ensure that the transfer will be compliant with data protection law and all personal data will be secure. Our standard practice is to use ‘standard data protection clauses’ which have been approved by the European Commission for such transfers.
DATA RETENTION
